Bill Turner is President and CEO of Anvil Mining Limited, a resource company based in Perth and listed on the Canadian, Australian and Berlin Stock Exchanges. Bill is a geologist who has worked internationally at a senior level for more than 30 years in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and more recently in sub-Saharan Africa.
Bill was instrumental in developing Anvil’s corporate objectives and strategy for Africa in 1995 and has been the “project champion” who has kept the Dikulushi copper-silver project alive during the challenging political events that have affected the DRC in recent years.
The Dikulushi Mine came on stream in October 2002 and is the first integrated open pit mining and processing project to be developed in the DRC under the new Kabila government.
