Mr Martyr has gained significant experience in investment banking to the resources sector and in the management of international mining companies over the last 20 years.  In 2003 he became a partner of Gryphon Partners (see below).  Mr Martyr was with the Normandy Mining Group from 1994 to early 2003 in several roles aimed at growing Normandy's asset base throughout the world.  Roles included heading business development for the African and European operations and spearheading Normandy's entry into the Americas, including a US$0.5 billion transaction to acquire operating and exploration assets under TVX Normandy Americas, of which he was President from 1999 to 2003. He worked in investment banking from 1988 to 1994, largely to the resources sector and predominately with the Deutsche Bank Group.  Mr Martyr resides in Sydney and holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.
