Jan joined EFIC, Australia’s export credit agency, in 2003.  He has a background in engineering, project finance and political risk insurance and he has also worked in South Africa and the United Kingdom. His experience in finance has involved projects in emerging markets in a number of sectors.  At EFIC, Jan focuses on the mining sector. EFIC’s financial support for Australian involvement in the mining sector has resulted in the business’s increasing exposure to Africa, in which Jan has been extensively involved.
