H.E. Immongault began his career at The Public Treasury of Gabon  in various departments: Branch chief, Deputy Director, Director of Programming Resources and Regulations, and Provincial Treasurer. During the ten years at the Treasury of Gabon, he has benefited from many specialized trainings, one of them was held in Washington at an IMF medium-term program. In 2000, he was appointed as General Inspector of Diplomatic Missions and Consular, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Francophonie. From 2002 to 2009, H.E. Immongault was the Financial Advisor to the Minister of State in Charge of Economy, Finance, Budget, Privatization, and Relations with the International Financial Institutions. Simultaneously, he assumed the responsibility of the Interinstitutional Committee of Statistics; he was Vice President of the Monitoring committee of Structural Adjustment Program, Chairman of the Multilateral Monitoring Committee; Chairman of the Surveillance Committee on the financial crisis, Chief of the Monitoring Committee of oil revenues, and Permanent Secretary of the Gabonese Committee of Interest Group EITI (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative). Since October 17, 2009, H.E. Immongault was the Minister of Energy and Water Resources and is now currently the Minister of Industry and Mines.
