Adriano Senvano

I was born in 1963, in the northern province of Nampula, where I concluded primary and secondary schools in 1980 and moved to the central province of Sofala for high school studies, terminated in 1983. From 1986 to 1991 obtained a Bs. Hons degree in Geology at the University Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo-Mozambique. From 1997 to 1998 attended a Post Graduate Course in Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology for Tropical and Sub-Tropical Regions in Tuebingen, Germany.
I started working as Geologist in 1991 in the National Directorate of Geology, Ministry of Mineral Resources of Mozambique, where I became Head of the Applied Geology Departament from 1999 to 2006 when I was nomenated Deputy National Director of Geology. In 2013 I was appointed as National Director of Geology until October 2015. From that time up to now I am Director General of the National Institute of Mines, a regulatory institution responsable for granting mining licenses and geological survey.
From 2013 to 2015 I became member of the Central Comission of Public Ethic of the country and in 2015 I was nomenated President of this commission for a turn of one year.
From 2002 to 2010 – I was member of the Comission of Experts for Extension of Continental Shelf of Mozambique.
