The new critical minerals playbook
Government capital and incentives, strategic supply chains and the race for bankable projects

We are pleased to be hosting this luncheon discussion exploring how US, Australian and allied government support is reshaping critical minerals investment, project bankability and supply chain strategy across Australia, the US, Africa and beyond.
Gain insights from Lori Bean and Peter Hughes, US-based Clifford Chance partners advising on some of the world’s most significant critical minerals, infrastructure and energy financing initiatives. Drawing on their experience working with government agencies, development finance institutions, export credit agencies and project sponsors, they will provide a unique perspective on the funding and policy trends shaping the future of critical minerals development.
Joined by our Perth-based team, they will discuss what distinguishes successful projects in the eyes of governments and financiers, and the practical steps companies can take to enhance project bankability, attract strategic capital and access government support.

AMPAA Breakout Session

As part of its annual Africa Down Under breakout series, the African Mining Professionals Association of Australia (AMPAA) proudly presents CEO Diaries – Real Stories of Building Mining and Exploration Companies in Africa.
What does it really take to build a mining and exploration company in Africa?
Behind every successful discovery and mining operation lies a story of bold decisions, setbacks, resilience and leadership. CEO Diaries brings together three CEO’s from junior mining and exploration companies operating across Africa for an unscripted conversation about the realities of building successful businesses on the continent.
From securing land access and navigating permitting, to raising capital, establishing strong corporate governance, engaging with communities, and managing geopolitical and operational risk, these leaders will share the experiences that rarely make it into annual reports or investor presentations.
More than a company showcase or technical panel, CEO Diaries is an authentic conversation about the decisions, dilemmas and defining moments that shape mining companies and the leaders behind them.
Join AMPAA for an engaging session of candid storytelling, practical insights and leadership lessons from the front line of Africa’s mining industry
