A specialist on the Sahel, regional geopolitics and security dynamics, she provides strategic risk advice on more than 15 countries across the region.
• Dr James Boafo is a Lecturer in Sustainability and Research Fellow at the Indo-Pacific Research Centre, Murdoch University. His research examines sustainability transitions, with a particular focus on climate and energy transitions, critical minerals, environmental governance and the political economy of resource extraction.
• Dr João Manuel de Costa Canoquena is an Angolan academic, author and public policy specialist whose work focuses on governance, political economy, state-building and Africa’s evolving role in the international system.

Moderator 

Brendan Augustin is President of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (WA) and founder of the consultancy Bina Group. Brendan’s work focuses on international relations, critical minerals, energy, trade and investment, and Australia’s engagement with emerging regions.
